A “premium plus” (best color and shape) Red Crystal Blush F2 seedling.

How it Started: The P (parental general)

“Anthurium Red Crystal Blush” is a not a registered Anthurium cultivar, but it is the informal name for the carefully selected and bred F2 and F3 generation plants I released under this specific breeding line in Fall 2024.

It all started off as a cross between my Anthurium Red Crystallinum (NSE Tropicals line) and my Anthurium Silver Blush as the pollen donor. I released the F1 progeny in 2022.

P generation: 2022 I crossed my Anthurium Red Crystallinum (NSE TROPICALS) with my vigorous Silver blush.

Then Came F1

I then retained the two most vigorous, silver, and brightly colored babies to become my F1 generation of parents (not shown)

And Second is the Best…

Eventually, I bred those two to form the next generation of Red Crystal Blushes. Select seedlings were even more red, even more silver, round leafs and vigorous growers! A solid F2 generation. I retained the best four. They became my four F2 parent plants:

I selfed the largest F2 parent “F2 #1” in 2024 and the seedlings were released in early 2025:
